Before painting, assess the number of chips, peeling coating and signs of earlier repair. A single local defect and widespread damage require different preparation. If damage reaches the metal, the underlying surface must be examined before choosing how to restore the finish.
A deformed bonnet needs its shape, wing gaps, hinges and latch assessed. Painting does not correct misalignment or confirm that the mounts are sound. Repair or replacement is discussed after inspection; a single photograph cannot reliably establish the condition of inner components.
The starting price of 12,000 UAH applies to the outer surface. The underside, edges, replacement fitting and complex coatings are discussed separately. For an aftermarket bonnet, the calculator adds 15% to selected painting, preparation and fitting work on that bonnet only, not to the whole repair.
