Three situations from our photo archive show why damage of a similar size can involve different repair costs. These are individual vehicle conditions, not verified before-and-after pairs.
Tesla: bodywork before restoration
01
Tesla: damage on the right side
The photograph shows deformation of the right rear door and quarter panel, with the rear glass missing. This cannot be assessed as painting just one panel. An estimate needs checks of the openings and mounts and a decision for each damaged component. Repair feasibility and body condition are established by inspection, not a photograph.
The close-up shows a dent and coating damage at the bottom of the door next to the sill. Damage to neighbouring components needs to be distinguished: check the door shape, edge and adjoining area. Straightening, preparation and paint boundaries can then be discussed after the underlying surface is assessed.
The photograph shows a worked surface on the rear quarter near the light and wheel arch. This is a preparation stage, not a completed result. Surface shape, adjoining panels and coating boundaries need assessment before painting. The image alone cannot establish the material used or the final cost.
Completion dates, final invoices and outcomes for these specific repairs are not stated: verified job records are not available with this archive. The estimates below refer to the workshop price list, not to the car pictured.
